History
The brewery is located in Würzburg, Germany. It was founded by the archbishop Johann Philipp von Schoenborn in 1643. The name was changed to Brauhaus Würzburg AG in 1882, and again to Würzburger Hofbräu in 1932. Major shareholder of the company is the family of August von Finck nowadays.
